Alia and the monsters from her childhood are deeply affected by the destruction in Beirut. Born in a context of war, she develops both shields and vulnerabilities.
In her inner world, she encounters Abu Samra, a man training to be a superhero to save Beirut. He, too, harbors his own monsters but offers imaginative glimpses of resistance, inspiring even the filmmaker herself as she steps into the frame.
