Farah Abou Kharroub

Farah Abou Kharroub is an award-winning Palestinian filmmaker born and raised in Lebanon. She holds a BA in Filmmaking from the Lebanese University in Beirut and an MFA in Film Directing from the Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (FAMU), where she lives and works.
Her work spans fiction and documentary, and her films have been selected for international festivals and development programs. She has directed short films including Nafas (2014), Florentina (2015), and Summer 2006 (2018). Wedding, Berlin was previously selected for development at MIDPOINT Shorts and Tripoli Film Forum. She is currently developing her animated short documentary Seeds of Soul, supported by AFAC.
Farah is an alumna of the Sundance Institute’s Rawi Screenwriters Lab, East Doc Platform, MIDPOINT Writer’s Room, IDFA Documentary Showcase, and Jihlava Academy. Through her work, she explores memory, displacement, borders, freedom, and the intergenerational experiences of women in exile.
